AMERICA'S CUP
THE BRITANNIA COLLECTION

Belstaff backs Olympian Sir Ben Ainslie and his team for the challenge of a lifetime with an exclusive collection as they race to win the 36th America’s Cup in Auckland, New Zealand.

Belstaff has been outfitting adventurous spirits — from motorcycle legends and sporting icons to movie stars and revolutionaries — since 1924.

For a hundred years we have been makers and innovators of apparel that's built for the road less travelled. Built for all conditions, built for record-breaking feats of endurance, built for journeys made by land, air and sea. Built for adventure and adversity alike. Built for life.

The America's Cup is the world's oldest international sporting trophy. Awarded to the winner of a head-to-head race between two yachts, the Auld Mug — as it is informally known — is held by the defending team. Then there are the challengers. Sir Ben's Ineos Team UK must triumph over all other challengers in order to win the opportunity to race against the defender of the ultimate prize. What's more, since the race was founded in 1851, a British team has never won the America's Cup.

As official onshore outfitter to the challengers Ineos Team UK, Belstaff looked to the historic style of the America's Cup to provide a collection that is not just fitting but functional, built to withstand all conditions — much like the sailors themselves.

Interview with Sir Ben Ainslie.

The sport of sailing is really about using the elements. We've got to be really good at being able to deal with conditions as they change.
— Sir Ben Ainslie

You can race anywhere in the world and you'll always have a different challenge. My love of that challenge has helped me a lot to learn and grow.
— Sir Ben Ainslie
